Lighter-weight than it looks, but lining makes it about the warmth of a denim jacket. The outside fabric has some visible texture. I wore it with a tee, jeans, and a statement necklace to an early evening lecture, and with a black skirt, an updo, and turtleneck to the theater. Looked totally different both times. I usually wear an xs, but I'm a little tall for this brand, so I got a small and scrunched the sleeves up on my forearms. I'll wear it hundreds of times.
