Nice shape, poor material
I like the design of this cape, but it is velour (not velvet at all). When washed with salt it still faded and ruined other items. Came out stiff and dull. Not a good fabric. Not comparable to April Cornell quality!

beautiful plush velvet
I couldn't be happier. This garment is probably my favorite from April Cornell yet (I have about ten garments from this company including two other velvet pieces so far) . All are such a rich, thick velvet and this one has beautiful details on the pocket tabs. When I tried it on, I felt like I went back in history a bit. It's so hard to find velvets in natural materials these days, and this company is one of only a handful of them. They could specialize. I don't think you can go wrong with any of the velvets she has available. I was pleasantly surprised and it is well worth the price.

Exquisite
OMG this is to die for. Picture onscreen accurate. Goes with alot of April Cornell's clothes, including but not limited to the Marsseilles rayon gorgette items. I bought my usual size & I just love it.
