Yuletide Shortbread Tea Towel

• Shortbread Cookies. 2 cups white flower, 1 cup butter, 1/2 cup icing sugar, 1 egg yolk, 2 tsp almond flavoring. Soften butter slightly. Stir in sugar, flour, almond flavoring, and egg yolk. Turn onto a floured board and knead lightly until dough begins to crack. 8-10 min. Roll out 1/4" thick and cut into shapes. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 until delicately brown.
