Flowerpot dress - smoke
The dress looks cream in the photo, so I assumed smoke referred to the flowers. The background is actually dingy grey and the flowers are a nice slatey blue. I still would have kept it because I love the bodice and the sleeves, but SO many gathers at the waist and the shorter length (I would have preferred 52" to absorb some of the bulk) made me look like a hippo in a tutu.

I threw this in my cart last second and honestly thought I would probably return it. It was a surprise favorite out of everything I bought! I am loving this fabric blend - it’s lightweight, very soft and has beautiful drape to it. I actually prefer it to be lighter in weight because I plan on layering it over a slip. I purchased the ‘always slip’ and the blue hamlet vest and both these pieces look fabulous with this dress. And the hamlet vest will make it a bit warmer in the winter weather. The color is a nice natural ecru, perhaps even a very light beige. The sleeves are to die for! They are just so flattering. I ordered my normal size and it fits perfectly.
