Beautiful but heavy
The material used to create this dress is gorgeous but very heavy. I am not comfortable wearing it.

Eyelet Porch Dress
As noted by another reviewer, this is a substantial dress that uses a heavy embroidered/cutwork lace overlay and an underslip. It skims the figure without being fitted. I happen to love these things about it! I wore it on a temporate travel day with last summer’s sage green duster and long botanical scarf. The combination allowed me to adjust for a wide range of temperatures and drew compliments in each combination. This dress also washes beautifully; I machine wash both pieces but put only the slip in the dryer. The outer layer of the dress hangs to dry without wrinkling. I now own this in both the pink and blue.

Eyelet fabric not as light and airy as it appears
When I saw this cute eyelet dress, I ordered it to take with me on a trip to Hawaii, thinking it would be perfect for the tropical climate. However, the polyester thread that is used in the embroidery is extremely heavy, making for a stiff dress that feels more winter-weight than summer-light. This was my first order from April Cornell; as I processed the return with the sales associate, she informed me that AC's sizing is "generous." Probably safe to order a size smaller than what you would normally, at least with this dress.
